Supporting a happy, healthy pregnancy & beyond

Do you have a pregnancy related illness, finding pregnancy challenging or want to learn how to maximise your developing baby’s health?

Maximising your own health and well being during pregnancy, as well as the health of your developing baby should be at the forefront of your midwife, consultant or GP visits.

But even with the best will in the world, our health service, simply doesn’t have the time to support optimum health. We are in a state of fire fighting and if there’s no fire, we’re unlikely to be given advice.

If you are feeling excessively tired, sick, poor memory, aches and pains, muscle twitching, headaches, brain fog, depressed, anxious, always hungry, gaining or loosing weight or excessively emotional during your pregnancy, it is not always “normal” and may be a warning sign that your body needs more than you’re giving it. This “more” could be relaxation, stretching, sleep, specific micro-nutrients, more protein, fat, less sugar or more complex carbohydrates movement, socialising/ time with friends etc….

If you would like to understand how best to prevent and resolve pregnancy challenges, as well giving you the strength for birthing and raising a new baby in the very demanding early days, I can help you.

I am a firm believer in supporting women before, during, and well after baby has arrived.
I aim to optimise mum’s health, reducing the risk of post natal depletion and supporting the health of a new baby, whether mum is breast feeding or bottle feeding.

I work with expectant mums with low iron, constipation, (morning/all day) sickness, high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, fibroids and thyroid conditions.

I have a close network of  therapists who I use for referring my clients to. Ranging from amazing Doulas, Reflexologists, Accupuncturists, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers, Osteopaths and more.

Seeking professional nutrition support from a registered nutritional therapist is advisable if you are at risk or have been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and any thyroid condition. There are many factors that can influence these and reduce progression, as well as their impact on pregnancy. Get in touch if you would like to learn more.

At no point does seeing a Nutritional Therapist replace the need to see your Health Care Professional, such as NHS or HSE GP, midwife, nurse or consultant.

Depending on the details gathered before and during our session, I may request you see your GP to have further blood tests done or suggest private tests which can identify nutrient status, gut health and so on. I will be likely to also suggest some natural supplements to support your pregnancy and growing baby/babies.

If you have been generally healthy before pregnancy and have no underlining/previously diagnosed conditions, I’d recommend just 1 session with me and a phone call to follow-up a few weeks afterwards. The session would be about 2 hours and cost €145 / £140, including a 20 minute follow-up call within 2 weeks or so.
